Clubs
Each with its own squad, finances, facilities and history.

Goal Legends is a free online soccer manager game that runs in your browser. You take one club, in one of sixteen divisions, and you are judged on the same things a real manager is judged on: who you sign, how you set up, and where you finish. There is nothing to download and nothing to pay for.
Start Managing FreeMost soccer manager games online put you in a sandbox. Goal Legends puts you in a table. Every club sits in a division, every division plays a full season, and the clubs above and below you are being managed by someone with the same tools you have.
Each with its own squad, finances, facilities and history.
Two tiers across eight countries: England, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Portugal, Turkey and the Netherlands.
4-3-3, 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, 3-5-2, 3-4-3 and 5-3-2, each with its own shape on the pitch.
Every match is played out ball by ball, not resolved by a single dice roll.
Formation is the start, not the whole plan. On top of your shape you set pressing intensity, tempo, passing style, defensive line, width and marking scheme, and the match engine reads all of them. A high defensive line wins the ball higher up the pitch and loses more balls in behind. A direct passing style skips the midfield build-up and gives it away more often. There is no single correct setup, which is the point: the manager in second place is running something different from you.

Players are listed, bid on and sold on a live market. When you bid, the money is reserved against your budget, so you cannot promise the same funds to four clubs at once. Wages have to be paid every day out of income you actually earn from sponsorship, merchandise and matchdays. Sign a squad you cannot afford and the books will tell you long before the table does.
Scouting surfaces players you would otherwise never look at, and your youth setup produces prospects of its own. A club run well for several seasons should look different from one that bought its way through a single window.

If you are comparing manager games, these are the questions worth asking before you invest a season in one, and where Goal Legends stands on each.
Plenty of browser games compare two squad ratings and print a score. Goal Legends plays out 180 possessions, each one a decision by a specific player with specific attributes in a specific position on the pitch.
A manager game where every season ends in a trophy is a clicker. Squads here have real ceilings, budgets run out, and finishing mid-table is a normal outcome.
No. Goal Legends is free, and there is no purchase that buys you a better squad than the manager you are playing against.
The world runs on its own clock. Matches kick off and resolve whether or not you are watching, so a few minutes a day is enough to manage a club properly.
A season is not only a league table. There is a domestic cup, the continental Elite Champions Cup for clubs that qualify, and international management: managers are elected to national teams and take them through qualifying to a World Cup. Club facilities can be upgraded between seasons, and there is a forum where managers argue about all of it.

No. Every club, player and competition in Goal Legends is original to the game. Nobody starts with a pre-built superclub, so league position reflects how you have managed rather than which badge you picked.
Both. Clubs claimed by other managers are run by those managers, and the rest of each division is run by the game so every league always has a full fixture list.
The world runs on its own schedule and matches simulate at their kickoff time whether or not you are online, so you can set tactics, bid on players and check results in a few minutes a day.
